On Wednesday, October 17, 2007, well over 100 people in San Francisco joined over 43 million people in 127 countries to Stand Up and Speak Out against poverty and inequality, in support of the Millennium Development Goals. This is the largest number of people in history to gather within 24 hours againt poverty.
